Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide design for structural components necessary for the development of a project.
• Perform structural wood and steel calculations for commercial and residential projects.
• Perform reinforced concrete calculations for building slabs, spread footings, retaining walls etc.
• Structural Engineer shall have ability of understanding, interpreting and correctly applying national codes and standards such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC.
• Keep up to date on new engineering processes, techniques, and IMS and standards.
• Ensure that effective methods and design/engineering techniques are used.
• Resolve project issues and problems.
• Provide technical guidance to co-workers.
• Contribute to a team environment by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.
• Works autonomously without direct supervision.

Requirements

• State of Texas Structural Engineer License
• At least 3 years of experience working on residential projects

Salary to $121k depending on experience; negotiable.
